This is an incredible sun-rise in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The clouds seen even below the horizon make the impression that the ocean is in flames

On my flight back I was able to snap some pics with the atolls from above. And what a sight there was!

The prominence of the eclipsed Sun rises on it’s edge at 3rd contact of the eclipse. The image was tacken with an oil spaced triplet assembled in a CF tube by specialist Catalin Fus.
